After months of rumors, It has confirmed that Grammy-winning artist Adele will perform the theme for the upcoming Skyfall James Bond’s film. Furthermore, the song (that has yet to be written) will likely match the film’s title.
The 21 singer first set tongues wagging when she was spotted leaving London’s MGM studios, where the film’s soundtrack was being recorded earlier this month. Now, Total Film have revealed that the pregnant star has indeed recorded the official song for the movie, also called Skyfall.
Adele follows in the footsteps of recording legends Tom Jones, Madonna, Paul McCartney and Duran Duran.
The last Bond sound track for Quantum Of Solace, Another Way To Die, was recorded by Alicia Keys and Jack White.
Skyfall is due to have its premiere on 23 October 2012 and be released in the United Kingdom on 26 October 2012. It will be the first James Bond film to be released in IMAX Venues. The film’s release will coincide with the franchise’s 50th anniversary, which began with Dr.No in 1962.
