Many pierce their body parts for aesthetic reasons. Piercing could be controversial as well to some cultures and people. Personally speaking, I like piercing my ears because my ears look great when I wear rings or studs on the different piercings. It looks artistic in its own way.Similarly a nose piercing is fashionable too. It was found to have originated in India and now it has spread all over the world.
Ear piercing is type of alteration or modification in the appearance of the ear, similarly a modification or alteration in the appearance of the nose is done by piercing the nose. This culture was adopted primarily by many tribes around the world for religious and spiritual reasons, and now it has moved forward with development in cultures and evolution in the tribes and development in knowledge.

Getting a nose or ears pierced could be painful depending on the piercing instruments involved. Ear and nose piercings are done using a piercing gun which involves little pain, not more than a bug bite, during the process of the piercing, followed by an extended pain as an after effect which varies from person to person. Some professionals do the piercing by hand, they do not use any instrument, and they just use a stud with a sharp end and insert the end through the skin. They claim to know the right place in the ear and/or nostril that is suitable for a piercing, avoiding any injury or pain.
